Tattoo Gun Needles

Tattoo gun needles are an essential component of any tattoo artist’s equipment. They are sterile, single use needles that are disposed of afterwards. This is because the tattoo is placed under your skin, and so the needle comes into contact with your blood, and can pick up any blood borne illness, such as the HIV virus.

As tattooing can be compared to painting, it should come as no surprise that tattoo gun needles come in several diameters, just like paint brushes. There are liner needles for fine detail work, and shader needles for filling in larger areas. The artist will usually switch needles between edging a design and filling it in, and also switch between ink colors.

They say that tattoos are addicting, and this is true. This is because when a tattoo gun needle repeatedly enters your flesh, it produces an endorphin rush afterwards. You literally become happier after you get a tattoo. It is similar to the adrenaline rush you get from experiencing danger, and it is equally addicting. So, for every adrenaline junkie out there, there’s also a tattoo aficionado.
